Field journal section (new blog) is currently being worked on. I removed the documentary video. Too many problems with consecutive false claims on YouTube. At this point in time I am putting the series on the back burner. There was too much time, effort and money involved to be going through that sorted nonsense. My primary focus is with field research. Not with film.
Heavy rain has resulted in the lifting of open burning bans in the Northwest Fire Centre.
Grass and slash burns are once again allowed – as are fireworks, burning barrels, sky lanterns and binary shooting targets.
The BC Wildfire Branch still urges caution when carrying out a burn. Anyone planning to burn a pile larger than two metres high by three metres wide, or conduct a grass burn larger than 0.2 hectares (Category 3 fires), must obtain a burn registration number ahead of time by calling 1 888 797-1717.
